- Attended audio lecture
- Learned about sound and its behaviour
- Opened the PowerPoint file for week 1's lecture and viewed it more thoroughly
- Took the points from the above mentioned PowerPoint and put into my own set of summary notes
- Looked at BBC Bitesize website mentioned on Moodle:
- Information already known from Higher Physics gained in school
- Looked at the Waves PDF document
- Again, most knowledge was known already due to Higher Physics gained in school, but also some from Mathematics with the degrees to radians conversion
- Most of the knowledge refreshed my memory however, as I am still rusty with the information: I passed my Higher in Physics in 2009
- Have not yet visited the Acoustic Anechoic Chamber:
- Think the visit is next week. Not sure. Maybe after that. Have been told we shall visit it at some point.
- There were also new things I learned today by looking through the PowerPoint and listening to the lecture. These things were:
- Echo's and reverberation
- This was also due to me playing keyboard that I know something about these qualities already
- Spectrogram
- A more in-depth knowledge of The Inverse-Square Law
- The level of various sounds
- I shall continue to look at the PowerPoint more thoroughly throughout the week before week 2 commences for this module
